Leatherhead Youth Choir - Frequently Asked Questions

Who can join?

As a guideline, the core age group is 7 to 11. No previous singing experience is necessary.

What will we sing?

All kinds of music. Participants will learn to sing in parts, and, over time, will learn the basics of reading music.

Where and when?

Time: Rehearsals take place on Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:30 pm starting on September 15th 2016. Holidays and half-term breaks will coincide with Surrey school term dates.

Venue: Christ Church (United Reformed) Epsom Rd, Leatherhead KT22 8ST. Map...

Parking: There is a good-sized car park at the rear of the church.

Who are the choir leaders?

The choir is led by highly experienced teachers and musicians. More information ...

What is the cost?

As the choir is still getting established there is no charge for the Autumn term 2016. After that fees will be £55 per term, but even then you are welcome to try it out for couple of sessions first, with no obligation (and no cost if you decide not to carry on).

If the fees are a problem then do contact us to discuss it as we want everyone to have a chance to join Leatherhead Youth Choir and would not want finances to be a barrier.

What is expected of members?

Choir members are expected to attend rehearsals and performances, to get there on time, and to do their best. Consistently poor attendance, lateness or disruptive behaviour may lead to the member being asked to leave the choir.
